The 9th of November 1989. East Berlin. Thousands of people rushed to the west end of the divided city, to the border crossings in the Wall. The western mass media broadcasted the sensational news: the GDR government came to a decision that every person could freely cross the borderline. They did it!Berlin Wall, which had separated the Germans for almost three decades, was no longer an obstacle. The last symbol of the Cold War was ruined.
