Alexander Yakovlev, famous Russian aeronautical engineer and airplane designer, general-colonel of aviation, member of the UEER Academy of Science, laureate of six State awards and the Lenin Award who received the Hero of Socialist Labour twice. His aircrafts are famous for their levity and elegance and numerous world records. The films reveals the story of "Yakovlev" aircrafts, highly successful line of WWII era aircrafts that were recognized the best aircrafts of those days.
